You'll Find the Christmas Spirit at Longwood Gardens

Exercise with Joy

Well, turkey day is over and the real money-spending holiday started the day after Thanksgiving. Did you see the people in the mall shopping at 3AM? While watching TV, I saw the pushing and shoving of the crowds, but I didn’t see anyone smiling or looking happy to be there. Could it be some folks were wondering how on earth am I going to pay for these purchases?

I must be honest, shopping doesn’t give me the Christmas spirit and December 25 is coming soon. And, I bet some of you haven’t started your shopping, for various reasons – no time, no money, no Christmas spirit, etc. If you want to get into the spirit, perhaps, you’ll want to try my remedy for a holiday mood adjustment and visit Longwood Gardens. It works for me every time.

It is one of the most amazing places and people come from other countries to see it during the holidays. The festive tree lighting displays, smelling the fragrant flowers, the thousands of poinsettias, the hugh wreaths, hearing strolling performers sing holiday music, watching the ice skaters dance under the stars in a winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights at the outdoor rink, and the New Children’s Garden is just wonderful! They have 2 or 3 restaurants; I could go on and on.

Longwood is exciting and I highly recommend it. So, if you are looking for a way to put the “Merry” back into Christmas, visit the Gardens. It is located on Route 1, Kenneth Square, PA www.longwoodgardens.org. For information call (610) 388-1000.

Happy Holidays!
