Good Works Coalition Scholarships for African-American Youth

Each year, the Good Works Coalition presents two scholarships to college bound students. In 2007, they planned to award two $500 scholarships. Due to the outpouring of support from friends and family, we were able to double that amount! So this year, the GWC plans to award two $1,000 scholarships.

They are currently looking for African-American high school seniors in New Castle County who plan to attend college this fall. If you know of any eligible students, please forward them the link to download an application: www.thegwc.org/Resources.html. They have extended the deadline for applications to be submitted to May 1, 2008.

The scholarships will be presented at the Second Annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet on July 13, 2008 at the Deerfield Country Club in Newark. So save the date :)
