The Art of Deal Making
The June meeting for The Rose Group
is scheduled for this Sunday, June 3, 2007, starting at 5:00PM. The meeting will be hosted by MeJah Books, located inside
the TriState Mall, 333 Naamans Rd, Claymont, DE 19703. This month's meeting will be facilitated by Miguel Adams of
Inland US Management LLC, who will be presenting on "THE ART OF DEAL MAKING." Remember that a deal is not just a contract, it's
a relationship. You have to determine, "what are the client's needs and expectations?" Come out and learn about - keeping
your deal skills sharp, negotiations, working with your team, developing and utilizing your "special" deal skills, meetings
schedules and environment, deal parameters and other important topics!

DELAWARE RESIDENT CHOSEN AS ONE OF EBONY MAGAZINE'S TOP BACHELORS FOR 2007
Marc C. Mathis, 36, of New Castle, is featured in the June issue of Ebony Magazine as #
9 on their list of the most "Eligible Bachelors" in the country.
Mathis, originally from Delaware is the Strategic Partners Coordinator for the Delaware
Innovation Fund and Early Stage East, a $10 million private non-profit venture capital
firm established in 1995. The DIF provides early-stage investment capital and counsel
to encourage the growth of seed, start-up and early-stage high technology companies in
Delaware and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. He is also the Co-Founder and Co-CEO/Chief
Operating Officer for Rimmax Wheels, LLC, a custom motorcycle wheels company based in
Bear. Mr. Mathis is Co-Owner and Inventor of the patented technology "Free Cycle Motion
for Motorcycle" (Spinner Wheels). He shares 3 design patents and a utility patent with
his partner from Chesapeake, Virginia.
Mathis is a graduate of Norfolk State University (Norfolk, VA) with a B.S. in Business
Management with emphasis in entrepreneurship and has an MBA in Strategic Management from
Wilmington College. He is also a member of the Gamma Theta Lambda
Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the National Black MBA
Association (NBMBAA), Philadelphia Chapter.
His future goals are to establish and manage his own "Urban Venture Fund" which invests
in start-up and early stage "Urban Based" businesses and products such as his own. He
is also planning on attending the Fox School of Business (Temple University) to obtain
his PHD in Business Administration.
"I am really interested in teaching at a Historically Black College or University after
I retire." "I want to teach potential young black entrepreneurs about what it really
takes to be successful in business."
